When I was a child I bit my nails. As an adult, I have stopped. They sell something to paint on your nails that tastes so bad, you will not want to bite your nails. Check it out.

It's a clear color. Good luck my friend. Oh, what about putting a bandaide across each finger, and chew on that. Once your nails grow, you won't want to bite them anymore.

bandaids! much better than painting my nails. haha well i actually did somethina long time ago that really helped. being a teenager, when i was still with my ex, we promised each other that if we bit our nails...we couldnt kiss each other for an hour...so everytime we bit our nails we had to stay away from each other...even if it was a date. haha it worked. but now...dont have that deal anymore. trying to find new ideas.

I did it when I was in school days.... I bit them when I am in tension, during an exam, when I think seriously....
But now I dont... I made up my mind that I wont bite them and now it has become a habit.... as to not to bite nails :)

i used to, i did for years. but one day i just quit biting them. Its not hard to quit seeing how it's not addictive.
Someone once told me, but i never looked into it, that its bad for your health in some way shape or form.
You'll thank yourself later.

its a very bad habit guy! very discouraging... try to put chili sauce on the polish you are about to put on your nails, maybe it might help you to stop biting it or you'll end up having a swelling lips.

i don't bite my nails but my sister does and take note not just her nails but even the skin near it. lol. the psychologist said that it has something to do with her needs when she was younger and were not satisfied. everytime i see her hands i just can;t stop from laughing at how they look... hehehe

emm.. i am not, i am just wonder why bitting nails??
someboday already invented finger ctter ma.. use it
below just a little bit sharing
Your fingernails have a couple of big jobs to do. They protect your fingertips and make it easier for you to pick up tiny things, like loose threads. They also come in handy when you have an itch that needs scratching.
But when you bite your nails, your nails aren't there to do those things. And by biting them, you are breaking the skin and maybe bringing germs into these openings in your skin. In fact, some people bite their nails and cuticles down so far, they bleed! When germs invade, you can get an infection.
Speaking of germs, there are germs under your fingernails, so when you bite them, those germs can go into your mouth. Think about all the icky stuff you touch all day long, like your baby sister's drool-dripping pacifier, your stinky gym socks, or slimy earthworms for your science project. You don't want those nasty germs getting in your mouth.
If you want to stop biting your nails, good for you! You can ask your mom or dad to buy you a special nail polish that makes your nails taste awful. This can help you learn to stop biting them. It also may help to keep your nails trimmed and looking good - so good you don't want to chomp on them!
