Hi all I need some advice. I invited my family over for dnner this includes my mom dad and 2 little brothers. the problem is that i dont know what to make. Any one have any advice? I was thinking maybe chicken parmesian and spaghetti and garlic bread. does this sound good. someone please help!!

Beef Steak Stroganoff in crock pot (slow cooker) INGREDIENTS: 1 London Broil steak, about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds, thinly sliced 1 can cream of mushroom soup, low-fat or Healthy Request 1/2 cup chopped onions, optional 8 ounces sliced mushrooms, optional 1 tablespoon Gravy Master, Kitchen Bouquet or other browning sauce 1/2 cup light sour cream PREPARATION: Combine steak, soup, onions, mushrooms and browning sauce in crockery. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours. Add sour cream 20 minutes before serving time. Serve over noodles or rice. Beef Steak Stroganoff recipe serves 4 to 6.

I think the london broil is the tastiest in the crockpot. You can use it with lamb and chicken, too. LOL! I need to start a cookbook, not a file!

Hi Bee1955, that recipe you shared looks so easy! Is it as yummy as the original Beef Stroganoff? What other cuts of meat can i use? Are they button mushrooms strictly? Thanks! - Lyn

My advice is to do something simple so that you can concentrate on spending time with your family. Not worrying about what you are going to make, or the clean up afterwards. If the meal you have planned is something that wont take you a lot of time preparing and cleaning up then I say go for it. It sounds good.

I think that sounds very good. Are you going to put ground beef it in the sauce? it is go good that way! :)I bet your a real good cook and they will be happy!

sounds great to me..its my daughters favorite meal add a salad so you have a veggie and a simple dessert and your done...and really dont worry so much about the food their really coming to see you the meal is secondary
