I have a 2004 f350, I take premium care of it so it wont let me down on my many travels on the bass tour. The lite first came on, on monday for approx. 30 secs.since then it has come on 9 more times. Ive been told to drain it, this is where i could use a litle help. ive always done my own services on my gas powered trucks, but dont on my f350. I also dont want to get bent over by the dealership, any help would be most cool.. thanks dennis

My husband has been an auto mechanic for over thirty years so I asked him your question and also read him some of the responses you have received so far. He told me to tell you that Snapp (I hope I got that user name right) was right on and if you just do what he says you will be just fine!

Go to someone you can trust not a dealer they will rip you off quick.

are you trying to drain the water? I bet you just have air in the system. Have you tried to burp it? If you don't know how to do the service, I would suggest you find a good mechanic, not the dealership, they charge too much, but a referral from someone who has a good mechanic. If you try it yourself and screw it up, you'll spend a lot more.

can understand your problem if you go to a hardware store near you buy a jug of methel hydrate it mixes water in to the gas so it will burn up with the fuel. long as that is the problem. not a faulty gauge or computer componet... now to mix it you have to fill up the tank till shuts off only you know the size of tank if you want can buy 2 bottles of gas line antifreeze to do the job just add both to car on a fillup..
its probably $2.00 bucks a bottle. but its methel hydrate and for $6.00 you get a whole gallon at the hardware store go figger...
now if drive it till your down to slightly less then a quarter tank next time fillup just add 1 bottle think its 3 oz in a bottle. should then be alright after that think you just might have gotten a bit of bad gas somewhere... good luck

sorry you don't say where in states you are if you get snow or lot of rain possible to get moisture in with gas due to high humidity if you'll notice and watch it burn from tailpipe you'll see moisture dropping from it which is normal for most vechicles but too much in fuel is what your problem probably is let me know how you made out...luck

With a 2004 it should be still under warranty. If you still want to do it yourself, however, it can be done. Ford has not been known for making this an easy job. My personal advice would be to just change the fuel filter, since most likely there is not a drain petcock located on the fuel filter. If, however there is a drain petcock, all you should have to do is open it and let the water out. Be sure to have a drain pan handy if you are doing it at home. Draining diesel fuel out onto the ground can get you in big trouble with the EPA.
Ground water contamination and all, you know. If you do change the fuel filter, make sure you fill it with diesel fuel before trying to start it. Hope this helps.

I find that very important and the planet needs that because of the pollution, but for that to have success has to set up more forest for giving more water for us.
To the opposite the water will be scarce and that project comes in vain.
Give spoke the water!!
