What is mean "foo-bar”?

Hi, I love this movie so much and know real picture of war from this movie,like it's happen yesterday.
One of the dialogue I want to quote is when Opham the corporal (sight)asking this word "foo-bar"? Nobody reply in that scene what is that mean.
I want to know what is "foo-bar"? Please help (cool)

If snipers are watching, and they can tell who is in command (by the salutings) then they will shoot that person first. So you never salute in a war zone.

Hi, this movie is the best of the best! I don't really know what "FUBAR" stay for, maybe in the Italian traslation it loses.
