Do u think Exams are necessary?

I think it's necessary for some courses. For some assignments will do. In India we need to take an exam for everything.

I think we need them to know what the student has learned and make sure they can perform the tasks they were taught

yep, exams are necessary as they provide a feedback to us of how well we have learnt and what all we have learnt...and whether we need any improvement in gaining our knowledge...

Here in Italy is the same, we need to take an exam for everything. Anyway I think exams are necessary to see how much we have learned.
