get out into the sunshine as much as possible, give yourself a pat on the back each time you receive just a little success for your efforts, talk to people, not just about your depression, set tiny goals then build, have good nourishing meals, every time you have a negative thought about yourself, refute it, make your surroundings as pleasant, bright and comfortable as possible, don't spen too much time in front of the computer, pray to God, keep active, even if you have to force yourself, take an interest in other things and other people, that's a start

I'm always seeking for God's help through prayers whenever I'm in depression. Nothing really can put me at ease than knowing He and my family are there to listen and support me. There is a kind of peace inside me that I could not explain in every "Amen" I utter at the last part of my prayer. Things can be so hard or even very hard for us to take but His hand is always there to uplift our spirit to endure it.

My depression always starts off with the little things.
I'll think about candy, then the dentist, then the kind of candy my ex ate, then I'd think of how happy we were, then blah blahhhh...
Although I hate pills, St. John's Wort helps a little. It's safer than those big name brands.
What helps me the most though, is writing.
May I suggest to you a hobby?

time mends all wounds and even though you don't know when it will happen... just think that tomorrow is another new day. so live it! enjoy it! that is what i usually tell myself when i get lonely... i try to talk to as many people as i can. even though i don't tell them how i feel but at least i have some one to waste my day with instead of hanging around by myself...
