casino in rockaway beach missouri 8 miles from branson missouri

They are wanting to put in a casino in rockaway beach missouri. But Branson is not wanting this to happen. They say it will hurt the family value of why everyone wants to come to branson. What is the difference in a casino being built close to branson than them putting in a 25 story skyscraper that they are getting ready to pass next week. This really don't make any sense. Any comments out there....

I live near Branson, and I really wouldn't mind a casino in Rockaway Beach. Most of the people who live in that area work in Branson, so it would provide a lot of jobs locally for them. However, it's already impossible for employers in Branson to get enough employees, so this would take a lot away from them.

i think its a great idea. i love casinos. but really they need to either bring in some newer attractions, or get some different things going there.. its really just old has beens that perform there. its ashame.
