I live near Eugene.. i love it. Only tonight we are getting one hell of a windstorm. All the cities around me are losing power, ours has flashed on and off a few times so far. The store just a couple blocks down is out of power.. o_O My two year old is all freaked out. On top of all that.. it's raining something fierce. They said this is going to be as bad as the windstorm we had in 2002 that knocked out power for a week. o_O

We have only lived here for a 1 1/2 years, but it reminds me of all of the storms from back home. We had moved here after hurricane katrina. But anyway, we were out driving doing some christmas shopping and the power had went out. It was very dangerous to be driving, there were no street lights or traffic lights.

I lived in Oregon in the mid 80s, in Scappoose, Ore. I really enjoyed living there. You could always see a couple of mountains, and the weather was really nice there. I now live in the Seattle area, but sometimes miss living in Oregon, and the smaller town in between Portland and Salem and the quiteness but yet being close enough to go to a bigger City if you really needed to get away.

I've lived in PDX for 6 years and I love it. There is a great deal of "outdoors" activities to do in this town. My favorite being hiking in the gorge during the summers.

I grew up in Ontario, Oregon.. a small town next to the Idaho border.. My parents owned a mechanic repair shop.. My mother used to take me to the Oregon Coast -- that was fun!!
