How much rent is too much?

I pay 705 for rent. I live in a suburb across the street from Chicago. I have 2 bedrooms. And the dining room and frontroom and kitchen are all in one room. I see a lot of places that charge 800-1,000 dollars. How much do you pay for your apartment? And how much rent is too much?

we are paying 2200 rupees in india.we had two bed rooms and two bath rooms,one hall and one kitchen

i have a 1 bedroom in the suburbs and my kitchen and frontroom are in different rooms and i pay 395.00 a month plus electric. i think you are paying a reasonable price though.

well you pay $10 more than me and I only have a 1 bedroom so I think Im paying too much! LOL

I think your rent is pretty average, I know people in my area that pay $150 more then you do for just a 1 bedroom/1 bath thats probably a whole lot smaller then your apartment.
