The fossil fuel on this planet will soon get exhausted. Its good to have such discussion, a new alternative to fossil fuel has been introduce recently, hydrogen fuel is used by some cars now a days, a clean source of fuel best alternative to gasoline, it emmits clean exhaust, the only by product is water, so clean in fact that you could drink it right out of an exhaust pipe.

Solar power. But it is not a full alternative though.Something good about it is that the energy is renewable and as long as there is sunlight,You will be able to get energy from the solar panel but something that is not cool is that the energy is not sufficient. And that solar panels are way too expensive.Unless they can come out with a solar panel that absorbs more energy and less expensive. They might switch to it.

the latest technology is to harness hydrogen gas as a form of energy.we know about hydrogen fuels ,the reaction b/w H2 and O2 gives pure dinking water.

I feel all governments all over the world should give immediate attention to this. There are so many new and renewable sources of energy nature has kept in abundance and exploitation of which in a planned way is not harmful. Solely depending on oil is very dangerous.
The following areas to be exploited:
1. Solar Energy
2. Using hydrogen for gas
3. Using vegetable oils instead of petrol
4. Gobar gas

i think that the alternative energy whitch we must invest researches are the sun power, hydrogen, wind, and the cold (not hot!) fusion.

compressed air is a sourse of energy ...Now its used to run cars..it uses air engine which uses compressed air to run the vehicle...its a zero emission engine and the cost per kilometer is reduced becaue it doesnt use ant nonrenewable resources
this is now in the experimental stage.

Using water, alot better than these windmils they're ruining the countryside with.
