Richest 2% own 'half the wealth'

The richest 2% of adults in the world own more than half of all household wealth, according to a new study by a United Nations research institute.
Who said life is fair?

well iam not sure,these rich people must have put an equivalent effort,or may be they inherited it from their ancestors who took the efforts,but communism is not something that's realizeable,i mean its a eutopian idea,the best example being the decline of ussr.u know,it'd all strike a balance,these rich people can become poor in the coming centuries,once all the property goes into hands that don't desrve them...and may b those who r poor today,might turn up the richest .all the riches in my opinion are hard earned,it must have taken generations and centuries to accumulate them,so its unfair if it's lost in a matter of time,it will take centuries and generations to get consumed fully,.take our own country,india,centuries back it had been one among the richest nations,today it has ended up being a developing country,it'd take time to go back to its previous glory,its not easy to rise up from ashes.
as individuals,we live for may b not more than a century,we don't c more than that do we??
i don't think life's unfair...jus that things don't happen too soon

USSR was far better than what russia is now.Take the case of india how did it become poor?Because of exploitation, over exploitation by the british.
And didnt they become rich?What they did was make sure that they be rich even after they loose india.And with the partition and all they tactically removed a serious competitor

dear frnd,i thot the discussion was over the distribution of wealth and not on whether britain became rich or poor,...
or india bcem poor,
i just wanted to say,that,if there is an ascend,there's goin to be a descend as well.yes i agree,britain bcame rich...we r living in an era when india is poor,britain is rich,but then,who knows,our descendents might live in another era when india is most powerful and they don't even know or are aware of a country called britain,or america,butfor their existence in the world map
i jus meant this wd take time.
the whole of europe had once been under the rule of church,that era had been christened 'dark ages',by which i mean to say,they also have had the worst times,and,...just that they r rich now,doesn't mean they'll b so for ever...
