Do you believe that Neil Armstrong walked on the moon in 1969? Do you believe it was a massive conspiracy theory? I remember watching it direct on TV at school (as it was during the day here in Australia) and believing it all. I've read lots of the conspiracy theories but am not convinced that it is a hoax. What do you think?

Neil Armstrong - Moon Landing 1969
I too saw it on television Bunny2. It was great and we all applauded it at the time and in fact I know some grown men who cried when they saw Neil Armstrong walk on the moon. I believe it actually did happen, and the conspiracy theories are just that. There is no way that they could have staged something like that and not have word leak out after all these years. Bunny2, I really do believe that Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, as we saw it with our own eyes.

I think conspiracy theories abound about everything, but in this case, I feel they did it. If it had been faked, they would have covered all the discrepancies people have found - it would have been picture perfect. Thanks for replying.

well it was nothing more than a hell...as even the nursery school student knows that gravity of moon is 10 times lesser than that of earth...do u see the video footage...u should have noticed how the dust was drifting down when armstrongwalks on so said moon..it was drifting down very quikly...so i think it was a way of making fool of peoples..as at that time america was afraid of developments in russia...they wants to show theirself superior to that of russia...as u know...america is very good in these things..

Alas I am a cynical soul but here we have another person bagging the USA. I do not agree with his opinion but respect his right to have it, however bagging out another country is not appropriate.

I respect your opinion but I still don't agree. If it were a hoax then the scientists would have thought of that aspect and allowed for it. It would have been picture perfct. But I'm OK with being skeptical about it.

I'm not sure what your answer means because you're contradicting yourself. {shrug} You say *if you believe that pigs can fly" which would indicate you don't believe Neil Armstrong landed on the moon and then you follow it with the statement that you weren't around when it happened so you don't know. So which one is it? :)

There's no doubt in my mind that it did happen though I was not so lucky to witness it.Firstlyits hard to pull out such a big stunt and fool the whole world.Secondly with subsequent missions in space it seems highly unlikely that they will make up something like that.

I actually wonder whether they'd have been able to put on such a good hoax. You'd think they would have covered all bases if they had. The doubts make it even more credible.

yes, i definitely believe it is true that Neil Amstrong actually landed and walked on the moon. i can't see any reason why NASA would lie about that. besides, they are proofs that it is true... there are genuine pictures of Neil Amstrong and pictures of the surface of the moon itself. it is such an important event in the history, it's not a hoax!

Thanks for your answer. I also believe that it's true. And all of the conspiracty theories seem to have been debunked. I have yet to see convincing evidence.

I remember watching it live. It was one of the most exciting htings I'd ever watched - as it happened! I also believe it's true. Why have such an elaborate hoax? I know there was a cold war with Russia, but even so NASA and the USA didn't have a great deal to win by lying. JMHO Thanks for replying.

I believe that Neil Armstrong did walk on the moon and the conspiracy theory is just a whole pile of rubbish. Some people see a conspiracy under every little pebble and everything larger than that as well. I thought it happened on the weekend but might be wrong, but for some reason it is stuck in my head that it happened on a Saturday. Where I worked part time after school, weekends and during holidays is where I saw it. They set up a television in the packing shed, so that we would still go to work but could watch what was happening at the same time. It seemed that it was a long time before they actually showed the moon walk though and the time kept being delayed. It might have been because of delays in it being relayed to Australia. I think it went from the Moon to NASA in the US and then broadcast to the rest of the world. It is a long time ago now and so some of those facts are a bit hazy. Seeing Neil Armstrong walk on the moon is not at all hazy though. It could not have been staged and I do not think it was at all a hoax.

I believe it's true, i read a lot about the "conspiracy" and most of it is about some of the photos, even if some of the photos was "staged" for better propaganda it doesn't say that the mission didn't happen. I think that the video footage are hard to fabricate, the way they move and jump easily can not be done on earth, also about the dust while the vehicle was moving it doesn't fly around but falls down like if it was water, unlike what someone said above this is because there's no air, sand falls down faster than it happens on earth even if the gravity is smaller and it directly falls downwards and doesn't scatter around.
