Usages are different but importance of both is equal. What do you say about it?

Pen is filled with ink and pencil is filled with a writing cores. When we write by pen it will not fade, but writing in pencil will fade after sometime. We can sign by pen only. But we can draw pictures by pencil only. Though usages are different but importance of both is equal. What do you say about it?
