Should it be illegal to smoke in the car with kids?

i think u can't have such laws...its the responsibility of the person who is smoking in front of children to stop doing such things...its about providing awareness to such people.

yes, of course that shoul be illegal. It shoul be illegal even to smoke in car eithout kids, or to smoke in the same room with children under 12 years old.

Yes, it should be illegal to smoke in a car with children; it should be illegal to smoke in a house with children also. I'm not sure how this type of legislation would be made or passed, because the smokers would, of course, argue that the government cannot tell them not to smoke in their own cars or home. I would argue that being irresponsible enough to expose your child to second hand smoke is in fact child abuse. The dangers of second hand smoke, especially for young children, has been proven. Kids have no say in this and have no way to escape their parents' smoke; by the time they have lived 18 years, they technically have 18 years of "smoking" history, and 18 years of damage which could come back to haunt them in the future. Having children is a responsibility, and parents need to take that seriously and do all that they can to protect their children. It wouldn't be a bad idea for the parents to just quit, either. That would be setting a good example for the kids.
