i have twins and they have gotteninto a lot of mischief and trouble. They have destroyed blinds and figured out how to undo all of the child saftey items that I have put up. They figures how to help each other out of their cribs at 10 months and they were premeies, so I would hate to have thought what they would have done if they were full-term. I do not know how many of you are twins or have twins but I would love to hear of twin stories. Mine are only four so I have many more years of mischief to go, please forewarn me!!

I have twin boys who are now 15yrs old, the caused me many long and hard days, which they still do but back then they were called the "Messy Twins" They got into everything that they could touch! Here is a quick story for you, I was sick with the flu for about a week or so, and my husband had to go back to work so it left me by myself with the kids. Well I went into the bathroom cause I was going to be sick, and by the time I came out they had decorated the dog in VASELINE! I was freakin out! I felt sooo guilty. I wasn't in the bathroom very long either, they just happened to get into it while I couldn't see them. They thought it was the best! Do you have ANY idea on how hard it is to get Vaseline out of hair? You don't want to know. I had to use peanut butter!

you should learn how to discipline your children, you cannot do that when they are already grown up.

Do you have children? Or a degree in early childhood education? It's much more than just a matter of discipline. Children at that age are prone to getting into mischief to test their boundaries and learn what is and isn't acceptable. When you have twins or two children who are close in age they often feed off of each others excitement, energy and are competitive, thus enhancing the behavior. No need to be rude!

I have twin boys, they are now 8 years old, and they were preemies too! When they were younger one of my twins would rock his crib across the room next to his brothers crib and climb in it and fall asleep next to him. I woke up so many mornings to them in the same crib, I guess it was the closeness they shared in the womb, the one twin wanted to be close to his brother. It does get easier, and they will be each others best friend. You are blest to have twins, and I am sure you are doing a great job with them.

I do not have children yet, but I raised a set of twins, fraternal, girl and boy. I was there Nanny and I love them like my own. They, along with a brother 3 years older and a sister 3 years younger are the best! The twins were premie as well and had some problems so I had to be very careful with them. They loved to be together. My funniest thought was the day they told me they would never get married and would always live together. This year they will graduate high school and are looking at different colleges. When I asked them about the promise they made so many years ago, they just laugh and say I am making it up. I think they were six when they made the pact with the special handshake. Thanks for this question. I loved the remarks from everyone!

I am sure they are giving you a tough time. But then , to me they sound like two budding inquisitive engineers. Probably giving some time and understanding them would help.

I don't have twins, but my youngest two children are only 12 months apart. They tend to do the same thing yours have been doing. They buddy up and get into all kinds of mischief. I've been working on ways to curb their mischief and have found that if I tell them I will separate them and make them play alone if they keep getting into trouble together they generally stop. They don't enjoy playing alone much, so this is an incentive for them to keep each other in check.

I know I could not handle twins. You have to be a certain of a person. Not for me.

Its very natural for kids to do all such things as they are curious to know what is going around them ! This is a natural way of learnibg ! Even a single kid gets a chance he would do the same things what the twins are doing! Here since they are two they get mutual support from each other and there is a competitive spirit in them to accvomplish a job successfully. This is an added attraction or advantage for both of them. If you see caefully one leads the mischief and another one follows it ! That is the natuaral way of learnibg, One is learning the leadership qualitiewand another is lerning from the Leadr ! Well its really a nice thing to see twins doing the mischief as the scence it self is so cute and attractive to imagine, You are really lucky to have bleesed with such loving cheeky twind ! God bless them ! Best of luck to you and your house hold furnitutr !
