In my state (NY) we have Commerce Bank which has a coin counter. Pour your coins in and it spits out a ticket. Bring the ticket to the teller and either have them give you cash or deposit it into your account ( better option ). It's free to cash in your coins you don't have to have an account with them to do it. In a short amount of time I have amassed over $670 this way. Remember the old saying a penny saved is a penny earned

Thats awesome! I wish our local banks did something like this. We have coinstar at the grocery stores that count your coins for you but they charge a fee. If you take your money in the form of a gift card for like starbucks or itunes or something like that there is no fee but it has to be a gift card. But I love the idea your bank has. Ill have to check out my local banks to see if anyone offers that. I have tons and tons of coins.

Did you know the coinstar fee is 7 cents on the dollar?!!! It's highway robbery! Yes the ift card is a great idea but it's not money. Good luck trying to find a bank :)

I know it's an old fashion concept but rolling coins in wrappers works. The idea is that if you break a dollar consider any change from it gone. One you have a jug full, give it to the kids (if you have em) and have them make stacks of coins. Even the little ones can do this. Taking those filled wrappers to the bank may be a heavy job but when you are making a deposit that is triple digits out of coins just laying in a jug it feel pretty good

More banks are starting to realize that they need to offer more services. Each time you go to your bank drop a comment in the suggestion box. It take you to effect change
