Moder Day Cartoons VS. The "Bugs Bunny" Era

Why is it so hard to sit down and watch a cartoon with your child when you KNOW how much you loved them when you were their age. What makes modern day cartoons so different to you than they did back then. The Picture? The Concept? Or the complex setting's of Problems and Solutions ? (And of course which old cartoon was your favorite!?)

the most obdvious difference is picture but look at transformers in the 80's simple effective stariaght to the point. look at transformers now complex, in 3d and more intracit story lines, more complex. like more depth to it. same as care bears. the shows of today are more like movies.
my favorites were snorks,smurfs. ;)

thanks ...snorks is actaully still on tv i tivo's some episodes the other day.
