I spend the most money on the food, for christmas dinner I had my whole family over .It was so much fun to see everyone .We all had a good time eating opening gifts and watching my grandkids open their gifts they were so excited. Next year I will do the same thing, but i did go over board a little on the gifts too. oh well Christmas comes once a year..

well i disagree if my boyfriend had bought me something cheap i would so not be happy it's not just the thought he could buy me a penny sweet sure he would have to have thought about it for a minute. It's the thought that they thought that buying you something nice and worth something and it being something you like that counts

Eh, I dunno there. I mean, yes, it's not nice to buy some piece of crap thing. But something as simple as a homemade mix CD or a collection of old letters framed or something like that can really make for an emotional christmas present.

I have no partner, so I save a lot of money there! I spent the most money on my mum because she's done so much for me in the past and putting up with a wayward son! I bought her stuff for the kitchen, a clock and lots of small gifts like flowers, chocolates and a puzzle she loves to do.

I'm on a limited budget myself so I know how you feel. I bought minimal gifts and gave a few that I had bought on clearance last year. I think I spent the most on my mother and that wasn't more than 30.00. But I did put thought into most of the gifts. I love to give gifts, I wish my circumstances were better but I know there are others alot worse off than me.
