Do you use a MouthWash after brushing and cleaning your teeth. Is store brand or name brand better. What is the best value for your money.

hi there i am a dentist. when u check for mouthwash in the market check if it contains chlorhexidine. this has to be used twice daily, once u have swished for about a minute in your mouth, spit it out.. after that do not eat, drink or wash for 30 mins. this is very important. studies have shown that chlorhexidine binds to your teeth and give protection for 12 hrs.

Helo doctor,
I have been a frequent user of mouthwashes though i haven't got any satisfaction with any of them.Fresh breath is very temporary.Among those mouthwashes i tried, the one's with chlorhexidine,i hate most. They caused stains on my teeth(orange). Two preparations i like most, neither of them is having chlorhexidine.Listrine and Tantrum were good and effective.I found providone-Iodine preparation (betadine)
as a potential agent in controlling sore-throat with immediate effect?
