I hope to be retired!!! I'm working really hard at being able to retire by 56 years old; I'm not sure if it's going to happen, but it's my goal. I want to free myself up to travel, do some volunteer work internationally (AIDS care in Africa), learn new things, and enjoy life.

Not my views, and I do think they are drastic views, no offence meant, but unless financially rewarding work is available after retirement, life often loses meaning. I do not believe all that Dr. Demartini says, but it is worth pondering over!

I agree with you that retirement is a bad option if you don't have goals and plans. I plan on spending a good deal of time in Africa with an organization that I am involved with now. I also have so many interests and things to do that there aren't enough hours in the day... The problem is that most people my age would still be working, so you're right- it needs to be well thought out. I'm going to look up the article you mentioned. Thanks!
