Peace in the world

Every logical part of my brain says yes there can never be total peace in this world. Human beings with their greed, super sized egos and petty differences, can never build a peaceful world. It is more likely that they will destroy the whole world rather than build one where peace reigns. However, my heart against all logic keeps on repeating "Humans will prevail, they will reach a higher level of existence, based on equality and devoid of personal gains and greed". Call me silly but I love the concept of a peaceful world so very much that I believe, wish and hope it will happen in some distant future of mankind... I almost imagine mankind in a Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek style setting....

Based on human nature and history I would say no. But somwhere in my heart I really believe that human awarness will change curse of this planet into world peace.

As long as man is greedy for power and money, I cannot see it happening.

As long as there are Hatfields and McCoys in this world there will never be peace. Unless all religions are accepted as equal by everyone there will never be peace. Unless we stop making weapons of mass destruction there will never be peace. Unless man can come to his senses and realizes that material things have no earthly value there will be no peace. The unlesses and endless.

Unfortunately, I think it is impossible. :(
