Should a man be forced to retire from a job he enjoys?

Most people expect to retire when they reach the age of retirement in their country. But should they be forced to stop doing what they have been doing all their lives or perhaps a good portion of it, if they really enjoy doing it? Hobbies cannot take the place of full time work unless your work is your hobby. And unless one is physically or mentally unable to work, there is no reason why, suddenly, when you reach the magic age, dictated by government, you should stop doing any kind of work.
