I have not been able to find the culprit that showed me the means people are willing to resort to make their earnings greater. This story is a disgusting chain letter warning about the dangers of ball pitts in playgrounds of fast food restaurants and indoor playareas. It spoke in detail on a Kevin Archer dying in 1999 as a result of getting stuck with a heroin needle in the ball pitt at a Macdonalds and dying as a result of the drug overdose. It also that on emptying said pitt the findings in that pitt were things I don''t even want to repeat. In addition this info was said to be verified in the Midland Chronicle, October 1999, guess what there is no such paper but an entire search engine result tells you this is not true because it is a vicious rumor. Whoever you are and you do know what you have done. please stop because as a mom of small kids I go to indoorplaygrounds and the thought of this being true was totally a horror to imagine. If I could take the time to verify the info and see in less than 5 minutes it was a lie why couldn't you do it as well, before you went broadcasting your warning. To find out it has all been lies made me so mad, that I spent 2 days trying to find the original posting on mylot just to ball you out. As I write this I am begining to wonder if this mylot site really encourages its members to break rules and try anything to make money or should they take greater care to ensure some integrity on the site..

You beat me to it brendalee! Whenever I get something via the net I generally check it out on snopes - there's just too many rumours and lies to really trust anything you read! Although seriousmiss, the person that posted it may not have known that it wasn't true...I know SOOOO many people that will pass on anything!

Come on this person spoke about having kids as well, a subject this serious can ruin others reputation, in a case of slander what is the excuse oh I didn't verify it. Realise my anger stems from the fact that many kids do go to ball pitts and parents would never expect to find unmentionables or harmful things in them. If I took the time to check and I wasn't posting it so should they. Maybe you should read up on the story to see if you are closer to understanding whi I am not budging on the issue.

I'm not saying that they have an excuse - you should definitely verify something before you pass it on. But it just sounded like you were saying that they KNEW it was cr*p but still posted it. Sorry if you mistook what I was saying.

I do see where you are coming from but the start of that discussion posting spoke about the author 's son losing his watch and they searching for it and finding feaces, vomit and the other equally disgusting things as weel. Does that sound like someone who is not sure of what they were doing and them using the kevin archer story as a further example of these dangers.

Thank you for that but if you put the midland chronicle in any search engine it is shocking what the results are.
