I am glad you asked! I know very little about China. My boss and his wife just returned from there and brought pictures, they were awesome! They had many wonderful stories to tell about all the places they visited. They have a son who lives there and he LOVES it. I was intrigued by the many colorful artifacts that I saw in the pictures. Everything they had to say was positive except about the hygeine and sanitation part. They were surprised about the children not having diapers, but instead having a slit in their pants and went to the bathroom whenever or wherever they pleased. They just squatted and went, this is very unsanitary in America. Also the fact that the public bathrooms was just a hole in the ground was quiet appalling. Other than that everything was beautiful and wonderful

China has the world's longest continuously used written language system. China is also the source of many of the world's great inventions, including the four great inventions of ancient China: Paper, the compass, gunpowder, and printing. China refers to one of the world's oldest civilizations, comprised of states and cultures dating back more than six millennia. The climate of China varies greatly. The northern zone (Beijing Area) has summer daytime temperatures of more 30 degrees and winters of Arctic severity. The central zone (Shanghai Area) has a temperate continental climate with very hot summers and cold winters. The southern zone (Guangzhou Area) has a subtropical climate with very hot summers and mild winters. China's population is the world's largest, with about 1.3 billion citizens. With the global human population currently estimated at about 6.5 billion, China is home to approximately 20%. China's controversial One-Child Policy has enabled families to devote more resources to their offspring and has been beneficial in terms of curbing population growth, aiding economic growth, and improving the health and welfare of women and children.
