What do you know about Pharmacy Profession?

Cant say I know much. I know it takes a long time to train as a pharmacist but thats about all i know.

hmmm.... intresting.. b4 this i would like to take pharmacy but at last i change my mind to take medic.. now i am a medical student.. obviously,life as pharmacies is more easier compare to life as a doctor...

I know that in the U.S. it can be a very profitable profession because there is a shortage. Companies are offering bonuses to pharmacists because they are having trouble filling jobs. I'm surprised morepeople aren't going into the profession in the U.S,; it does take a while to get one's degree, but the money is very good and the career prospects are very good in the future.

I know they have a lot of responsibility and a mistake can be serious. I also know my pharmacist is always very busy. There are several pharmacies in my small town and they all stay very busy so I think this is a good profession to have.

Pharmacy is one of the occupation relating to medicine field.

I know that it is quite the tedious job sometimes trying to appease people in the pharmacy when they are sick and just wanting there medicine ...My sister is a pharmacy tech and she loves her job but sometiomes she says that it can be very stressful trying to deal with all of it and then all the schooling too...

i am a b pharmacy student in my view a pharmacist is nothing but a bridge between a doctor and patient!

I know that it pays to be a farmacyst. My girlfriend is a student at the farmacy faculty. I graduated biochemistry so we cind of have a lot in common. To me a farmacyst is more like a modern day alkimist.

I know absitively posolutly nothing about pharmacy. However, I do have a very close friend who is a pharmacist. She is from Mozambique who was repatriated to Portugal when Mozambique received its independence in 1975 or thereabouts. She didn't get into pharmacy until her late 40's. After finishing her schooling she worked in a pharmaceutical lab and then later also became a professor at the University of Lisbon. At the age of 62 she opened a pharmacy on Porto Santo Island in Madeira, the only one there, and I attended the inauguration. She retired, finally at the age of 70 and has returned to the continent. And there you have it.

All i know is that in my country they make tons of money. you can start taking classes for it while your still in high school to get a head start. if i would have known that when i was in high school i might have done that.

I know a lot coz im a pharmacist myself. Its a very vast profession with various things you can do - you can be a practicing pharmacist, you can work in a hospital, can do formulary development, work in R & D. I myself am working in the marketing department of a pharma co. Ive also studied further in outcomes research. Its a fascinating profession with tremendous scope. What do your do as a pharmacist?
