If you are referring to financial success.. then I'd have to say yes. His newest movie has already made 50 million at the box office. Quite sickening. I'm not a fan.

I am a huge fan of Mel Gibson as a Director. And Apocalypto was awesome. You have to go see it right now. Really a great movie. His directing is second to none. Hes had The Patriot, Braveheart, The Passion and Apocalypto. Cant get much better than that. Hes really an amazing director. Everyone of his movies are moving.

very big , fan of mel gibson, he obviously cant get his braveheart days back , but he seems to be successful as director and producer, after watching passion ofchrist i thought his directing was phenomenal, but iam not sure about apocalypto, donno if it would do as well
