Alimentum or re-establishing breast milk supply after almost 4 months?

Due to health problems, my dr has put my daughter on Alimentum(hypoallergenic baby formula). She weaned herself from nursing around 8 months old. She just didn't want to sit still to nurse anymore. She had respiratory and other health problems start within 2-4 weeks of the time she stopped nursing. This hypoallergenic formula is fairly pricey. I beginning to feel like I'd rather re-establish my milk supply and pump it for her, rather than continue to pump all of these different formulas into her hoping to find the one that she will handle well. She had none of these health problems while she nursed. I'm looking for some opinions or a debate.
