How do you make children to obey you ?

Sometimes, children behave in their own manner ..live in their own world without listening to anybody isn't it? don't you feel hard sometimes to make them hear you ? how do you cope with this problem here? children are the most difficult thing to control...that too naughty one's...isn't it? give me your views here......

I guess it depends on how you treat your children. If you treat them in a nice way i guess they will respond more easily and obey. If you always shout at them they will fight back. So be gentle with the children and talk to them heart to heart. Communication plays a big part. Talk to them in a modulated voice and never shout at them. But maybe sometimes parents cant help it specially if the kids are really naughty. Ask God for guidance and be patient.

Hm...more depends on what rapport you are having with your children and if you buid up a very good rapport with your children, then chances are you maynot be having any major complications with your children..it all depends on upbringing of your children.one should maintain a balance between how strict you keep them or how linient you be with them..don't you think so..

Children are copiers. When they see others obeying they also tend to obey. If mother and father obeys each other, their children are also obedient. If they live in such environment which supports and promotes obedience they will become obedient or vice versa.

Maybe...you are making some points here....but, sometimes it is difficlut to make children obe to you when they are very naughty by nature..isn't it?..it all depends on each kid and how they take your advice....isn't it?

First off I dont understand to the person above me..about parents obeying each other?? Um nOOOOOO..i dont obey anyone..lol..were not kids anymore..ok on to u lol..Whjen my son is acting out..first off..Time out begins..he hates sitting still,,if that doesnt work and im yelling at him to stop ..and he isnt listening i will get within INCHES of his little face and say LOOK AT MY EYES! DO U SEE ME? CAN U HEAR ME? and tell him what i want done and he does it..but..if things were to ever get out of control./.which i havent had to yet..hes a great child..i have been blessed..i will take his toys away and lock them up and gop from there..or soemthing liek that..but liek i said i have been lucky so far,.

Yes...parenting at this age level is extremely difficult isn't it? maybe , if more people respond to this, everybody will get to share their opinions and might be the, many will get usefull tips here...don't you think so?
Even you have made some valid points here an di would be happy if more peopel do respond here...

personaly I don't think yelling at them is the best approch nor is getting in thier face .
