why people preffer Java.

Programmers prefer java for good salary and good prospects.As due to good language java is being preferred for big projects.Also being object oriented and platform independent jave is easy for deployment and interesting.Also if your basic concept of OOPS are clear then java is easy.Also Java is open source which i think also may be the reason for the same.

One main reason which i think for java's popularity is multi platform support. You can run the code u wrote on windows in Linux, MAC , Solaris etc etc. Another reason for many programmers is that you get a high paid job if you know Java. Another reason might be because complete OOP support.
