What's your relationship like with your parents?

Mine is not so good. We've never really gotten along very well. But, I seem to be in the vast minority, most people have great relationships with theirs.
How is yours?

i've got a good relationship with my mom. but i stop talking to my dad. i don't like to know him anymore. he left our family long time ago and sometimes he will just pop out into our lives like he is a great one... i'm far better off not having him and i could say that my life is much better without him.

it is getting better now even it is a little too late. my father's health condition is getting worst and it makes me feel guilty.i never spent much time with them.i got a good relationship with my family now except with one of my sister..we are not talking to each other anymore..

I have pretty good relationships with both my parents and still live at home. I'm moving out next year and they say they will both miss me. I'm quite similar to both of them so i guess that helps quite a bit and we enjoy similar things. I'm also lucky in that i get a long very well with my boyfriends parents and him with mine so it really feels like i have two sets. So if i need to get out of the house i have somewhere else where i'm always welcome.

When I was younger my relationship with both of them was terrible. My father was abuseive and I blamed my mother for staying. As I got older and moved on my own I have come to understand them better and we have a certain respect for each other, all I can say to you is everything gets better with age as will your relationship with your parents. :) Good Luck

If it makes you feel any better, I don't get along with my parents, either. It's no one's fault, we're just very different, and our family has never spent much time together. It doesn't really bother me except that sometimes I have a hard time in relationships because that person is like the only source of love in my life, and it's too much for them...I don't know...

I love both of my parents even though my relationship with my dad is better then the one with my mom. My mom and dad are divorced and have been since i was 2 ( i'm 27 now) and my mom has always said bad things about my dad to me! My dad never said anyting bad about my mom though he knew one day i would grow up and see the way she was and that he wouldn't have to tell me cause i would already know..
