I am planning to go on a tropical vacation somehere. but how does one know in advance whether tsunamis and oher such things waiting to happen ;)?

tsunamis happen in some area of the world only, just like earthquakes. but just like earthquakes you cannot predict where they will happen, you can just receive an early warning by specific institutions
