I have been diagnosed with Fibro since June 2005. I understand why you think it is not possible for it to not take over your life but it is possible to beat it. Im not saying that you will be cured but there is ways of controlling the pain that it causes. One way i have found to control the pain of the Fibro is by using a pain med called Ultram. I have also taken Ultracet which is almost like Ultram but it can cause rebound headaches so i try and use the Ultram instead. I would like to advise that you watch your activity levels though. Forcing yourself to do to much activity can cause you to really fall apart. Also i have noticed that there is a circle between the pain and emotions. With me the more that i hurt the more i get upset yet the more i get upset the more i hurt. Hope this helps.
