I don't believe so. I tried so hard to listen to the doctors when they advised me on what was best for my son in many different occassions. I have come to the conclusion, they really have no idea. They are simply going off of facts and not the mere "experience" of having a child. I have also learned that a parents instinct is quite strong and we should always follow it. I have learned to follow mine and it is working out for me!

Oh yeah, they really have no clue. Then if you do something that is against the "expert", even though they have no children, opinion they will go crazy on you. I mean seriously, my child in no way or form looks like he is malnutritioned or unhealthy in any way. There is no need for it. And they try to be so intimidating. It's like they prey on the new mothers who are freaking out that they are doing everything wrong. Just for some power trip or something. Unless it is something very important, I let it go in one ear and out the other! They can be a little nuts sometimes!

When it comes to kids you have to go with your guts. No one is perfect and this includes doctors. Sometimes doctors make mistakes. I think everyone should get more than one opinion on diagnosis.

You need to find one that is highly recommended and one that you can trust. I wouldn't want a new doctor to care for my children when I have kids. I would rather go to one that has been doing it for a long time

You have to remember that they are just normal people and they make mistakes too. I work for a very good doctor but I see him make mistakes, just trust god and he will make sure your children are safe!

so you are saying trust god when things are in black and white of what the doctors are suppose to proceed on what to do when giving birth, and they failed to do that,i believe that has nothing to do with god! Thanks for you response!

This is really a broad question. Trust them to do what? What type of advice? There are some things we have to trust doctors for. Like medicine, surgery and ect... You can always get a second oppinion for those things. Then there are things like feeding, sleeping routines, behavior and ect.. These are things that you use your instincts or experiences. For these things you can also get advice from someone who has been through raising kids.
