I had a discuss with a friend of mine about an argument he was just in. He works as an electrician his friend works as a plumber. His friend told him that he told his wife to cut down on the amount of hours she works becauae she makes more than he does and he didn't think it was right. He told him that it was silly that she has a degree and that is the type of salary that they get for that type of job. They then got into an argument. He felt that he should be the bread winner, and make the most and it makes him feel secure. Does it matter who makes the most money?

At the end of the day, its joint income that's coming into the household, isn't it?? So how does it matter? I make more than hubby, but that's never been a point of discussion with us. It only helps us to save more for the good things in life. There's more to life than just big egos!!!!

I had a bf that flipped one time when he found out what I made. I'm a school teacher, what did he expect that i get paid pennies. It made him feel funny. I don't get it maybe its thier ego or something.
Thanks for your response
