When you go do you want ot be beuried or cremated. I know some religions insist on cremation but if you have a choice what will you chose and why. I prefer the thoughts of cremation myself but I would like to think there would be a grave with my name on that my family can visit to think of me as well so I dont know. I do know I find great comfort at times sitting by my dads grave and knowing that his earthly remains are there.A pot of ashes wouldnt give me that close to him feeling.

I would like to be cremated and scattered at various places..first being where my son is buried but other places too....LOL I always say "burn me and put me in an Etch A Sketch so the grandkids can play with me"....for some reason my husband finds no humour in that at all but my kids think its a riot LOL

I want to be burried . . . I lost my grandfather years ago and he was cremated . . . there's no where for me to go and "be" with him. His ashes were sprinkled throughout the bayou in louisiana. I want my family to be able to sit at my side, know I'm there, and be ab;e to talk, or sit, or whatever they want.

Cremation, the thought of being in a box scares me.

Firstly i'm an organ donor, secondly (if my body is not fit for 1st point )i have donated my body to science, here they'll cremate me(if there's any left lol),And if all that fails i'll be cremated, on the headstone thing would prefer a bench put in on of my favourite spots like on the pier,or somewhere in the wicklow gap,(somewhere with a view, not that i'll see it lol)but its a chance for people to come talk to me (if you wish) and just relax enjoy the views, surrounding country side( hoping to live for many many years yet so the view thing might change(esp here in Ireland)

My mother has chosen to be cremated. I would like to be cremated as well. My choice is based on the fact that I have a real fear of being buried alive.
I watched the movie Serpent and the Rainbow at an early age. It is supposed to be based on a true story. It is about voodoo and zombies. Ever since I saw that movie I have been scared of being buried alive. I don't even like going into caves anymore because of it.
I have made my wishes known to my entire family, though I do not have a will yet. I have even told them not to bury my ashes. Put them in a cement urn in the graveyard but do not put me under the ground.

My grandparents were both cremated and then buried in the family cemetery. Since it is much cheaper than a casket, I think I will likely do the same.

I believe in cremation, I actually believe we should all be cremated. There earth is to overpopulated now. I don't think we should waste money and space on caskets//and vaults and waste time putting these things in the ground. We should just all go back to the earth as dust as we came. Thank you

My personal choice is to have anything and everything someone else can use be taken off my body, then just cremate the rest. My body is just a shell of myself. I will never need it again where I'm going.

well if you are a religious person,do what your religion tells you to do.
but i would and will get cremated both according to my religion and my will.creamation is eco-friendly and also save up land while for burial you have to have a considerable amount of land occupied and that land cannot be used again.

I'd rather be cremated. Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust. If your cremated you can still have your ashes buried. And even if remains are in a pot, you can bury them, and it's still them. Eventually bones do turn to ashes, but it takes FOREVER... and personally.. I get the heeby geebies, when i think about the critters of the earth crawling all over me.. *shivers*

My husband and I have discussed this more than once. Cremation is our choice, and we want our ashes placed in the same urn.
