Hi! I would love to know what kinds of programs are out there, preferably inexpensive programs, like Photoshop that I could use to create cover art for stories, etc. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to all who reply! :-)

GIMP is a professional quality graphics program that's freeware. I use it for all of my graphics and I've been very happy with it. It's quick to download and there are tutorials all over the internet.
Good luck!

Hi! Wow, that's awesome! Can't get much better than freeware! I've done the editing and proofing and I can get material ready for publication, but I didn't get a chance to do all the technical stuff, which I need to learn to do. Thanks a bunch!
