Happiness is a state of mind and it is well nigh difficult to define it. Yet we are always running after happiness. Do we really find it. Happiness is an inner condition but the msitake we make is that we search it outside --in materialistic pleasures, consumerism and the like. Can possessions really make us happy? These and many such questions crop up today when the instant solutions Gurus try to give us ready made pills for happiness.

I have to agree with what you have said. Happiness is WITHIN us. It is impossible for everyone to be happy ALL the time, but I feel that I am basically a happy person. I don't have money, and I certainly don't have a lot of possessions. But I am still a happy person. Some people are just more comfortable with misery and being unhappy. It scares them to be happy because they feel that some disastor is waiting just around the corner BECAUSE they are having a happy moment.
