Hi, I'm Michael 25 y/o. I've got this problem on how to divide my time @ work & for my relationship. It seems that I don't have enough time with my girlfriend anymore co'z i've been to work-aholic in which I am spending much of my time @ work even on day-offs & holidays co'z I have no choice I've been working in a company in which i've got a lot of task to be done everyday. My girlfriend is complaining already & I tried to explain that i'm doing this for both of us in preparation for a much brighter tommorow. Can anyone help me cope up on this problem? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!

I was fortunate when i met my husband...he was a serious workaholic (80hrs a week) and I worked nights plus he lived in the U.S and I lived in Canada however beign in the line of work I was in it was easy for him to come see me at my job....So I didnt have the problem you are having...However, is there any way you could cut back on your hours at work or maybe the two of you could hook up for lunch dates etc..and as for holidays and days off..well unless your job requires you to work that time (and if they do they best be paying you) I wouldnt put in so much of your free time....You need to have balance in life and as much as I'm all for a person prepping for tomorrow etc what good is it if you are goin to spend tomorrow and all the tomorrows alone because you couldnt NOT work....
