Who would you save, your Parent or your Lover?

The boat is sinking? Who would you save first your parent(Mom/Father) or your lover (Spouse/Boyfriend/Girlfriend)?

My parents will surely understand if i choose my wife to be saved. Not just because they know how much i love my spouse and even if i live choosing them i would never be the same without her. No one will wash my clothes, cook my meals, prepare my dress, massage me, and who will watch my children when i'm in work? Gee i don't know what life would be if she drowned. So i pick her over my parents and beside my parents knows how to swim while my wife doesn't.

Well maybe I would agree with you because of your last statement. Saving someone who does not know how to swim would make him or her first on my list. But I think with the first few reasons that you would like to save your wife is quite odd for me. I would save the one who is more important in my life.

hehe...its not ONE.Its two...
Look if i save myself and my parents,This means there is a chance to save us both,Means myself and my parents,So we can say only 1 have to die,others all will save,So in this sense i just said that i wud like to be "that" one who will die to save both my Parents and my spouse.

That is a tough question. Most likely the parents would push the children to save. Depends on the relationships to all of them too. But, unless that was happening, I don't know if anyone really knows how they would react.

Thank you for your response. I also share your point of view that I would really not know who to save or who not to until I was placed in that situation. But I think I would probably save my parents since blood is really thicker than water, not unless I was married then maybe I would save my spouse.

i would save my lover. he is light of my life he is cause of my happiness. he is all for me. no doubt it would be him, although i would suffer long after lost of my parent that's true but without parent i can live hapily, but without person who will be with me my whole life i cant. i wont live with my parent family and loving life, but with him i am going to.

Well, I think that we all do have different choices. As for me I would save my parents because I owe them a lot. But given the chance, if there was still time, I would try next to save my lover.

I would say I will try to save the boat itself so that every one can be saved... they are all important to me.

My lover is strong and can swim, so I would save my parents first, as they are unable to swim. I daresay he might help me save them too. :-)
