What do you think about the situation in Iraq ?

This is just a comment from a us army vet, go to Va hospital, and see what this war does to the soldiers, and ask yourself that question. I'm not trying to be sarcastic here, but pay them the respect they deserve, and study this question in the real world. Than ask is it helping the situation.

I have a fair suspicion that these wars were started because someone in government felt that the Us army hasn't been "doing" anything lately.. there were too many new weapons to try out, and old stocks that they had to use or dump.
I'm not saying this was the only reason, I'm saying it helped them reach the decision to attack or invade.

Now that I can agree with as well. I do think that we need to leave Iraq as soon as possible but I do not know if it should be immediately or not. I do think that it was a way to test out the weapons to see if everything still worked and try out tohe new technology. I think it has a lot to do with oil as well.

I think that at this point we are doing no harm in Iraq and might actually be the only thing that is keeping it as stable as it is. I do not necessarily agree with the war, but I think that to pull out now would be a vrey bad thing. I do hate the loss of life though and wish that it did not have to happen.
