I personally don't think I want to live that long. I think I would be a burden to live that long and it would probably be pretty lonely. Maybe if I was in decent health both physically and mentally it might not be too bad but my health isn't that great now so I wouldn't want to live if I didn't have a good quality of life.

Yes,I want to live as long as I possibly can. That is as long as I'm in good to reasonable health,no respirators or wheelchairs.I personally am shooting for 104.Don't know why that number stuck in my head as a good one but it did and that's how long I'm working at living to.Barring getting hit by a bus or something,I do believe I'll make it.;-)

If my mind would still be intacted at that age, then yes I would love to live that long. To be able to see all the generations of my grandchildren would true be a blessing to me. Just to be able to tell them how the world was when I was a child and all the way up that point, would truly be a wonderous thing. But, if I was in poor health or could not remember things then I am not so sure I would want to live to be that old.

With the good research that is being done on antiaging it just may be that a lot of us will live to be that old. We may get to be young again. I would love to see a very old age, to watch the events of the world go by.

i don't think i'd be around that long coz i have a life contract of 80 yrs, pending approval, LOL!
nah, i'd rather rest and surrender my borrowed life before i get very old. i want to live while i'm still a help to anyone, not one who'd burden them coz of being dependent, sickly (normal with old age), or worse bedridden.

I didn't hear that. Wow. Where were they from? I want to live only as long as I am able to take care of myself, and my husband is alive with me.

I wouldn't have been a very good experience to live so long as that s an unnatural way ! There may not be a quality life at that age. After certain age the body gets exhausted physically and natural wear and tear takes its toll and the body is subjected to compensatory changes and these are unnatural and painful too. Like if some one suffering fromjoint pains, its natural phenimenon by the body to cause infammation over the site and in long run the joint may get stiff. The sense organs also loose their efficiency. Normally old people they suffer from amnesia, i.e they don't remember the things, which makes no sense in living as one is just a vegetable without active brain ! Sorry I wouldn't like to live beyond the age where I start feel that I am becoming burden on myself ! I think living till 75 to 80 would be a too big thing for me !

I for one would not want to live that long. My daughter works in a nursing home that has 3 ladies of 100 years. They have no family or friends left. @ of them have
Alzheimer’s. At the same time it could be exciting to see the cahnges that takke place over her life time. automobiles, Telephone, 2 world wars several minor ones. radio, television. man on the moon, the space station, talk of space travel for the Individuals. When I top to think about the changes that have taken place over the last 100 years are astounding

yeah! i've read that from the paper too...gosh! 116...i dont think i want to be here that long. i hope that i can die before my future husband so that i dont have to grieve over him...it's kinda selfish of me, i know...but say i'm 80 years old and we have been married for 40-50 years...it will be hard losing a spouse. i think if given a choice, i will want to be the one to die first. and just imagine the inconvenience on others that they have to take care of your well being...

Thats a really interesting news to know about that someone really lived for so many years. But I personally want myself to live a short and healthy life independent of others because in old age most of the people get dependent on others and if their near and dear ones are not good enough to care for them their life gets miserable so I want a short but healthy life so that I can live that to its fullest and on my own.
