Love Horses?

Anybody here who owns their own horses? I have 8 of my own and would love to here discusions on horses

Love the pick, especially the black roan babe!
I am pretty allergic to them, but I almost bought two once (not at the same time). Both were great, but I was in college and couldn't really afford to keep them if I bought them. I also didn't have the time. One was a 2 year old gelding. The other, a mare, was in her 20s and I thought the price was too high for her. But, she was fun to ride.

Wow! That sounds promising. I'll have to find a breeder and spend some time around their ranch to make sure they don't trigger my allergies. I've found that sometimes even though things are said to be hypo-allergenic, I am still allergic to them.
Right now, I can't afford one, but maybe in the future.

I checked into the site and noticed that they horse's hair is a lot like a rex cat. Is the dander somehow different with these horses? That is what I am allergic to. The hair matters only slightly in regards to how well the oils in them hold onto the dander.

Yes, we also have 8 horses. I breed and raise racebred quarter horses and sell the babies, usually as yearlings. It's alot of work though!

Tell me, I have to train all these horses on my farm myself, because there is nobody close by that knows about horses, and it is not just the training, it is the grooming, cleaning of stables, feeding, and ofcourse the little foals just causing trouble.

8 Horses I bet you have no money.!!.. I had horses as a kid but now they are at my parents house so I cant really call them my own anymore.. I had babies so they had to come first and I couldn't find the time for the horses and well they need the time.. but my love is still there and soon enough I will be able to get back to doing what I love best..
