I had a nausea problem for quite some time. To increase motility of my stomach i was prescribed reglan by a gastroentologist. When i took the second dose i had a severe side effect which is most common with reglan. I had dystonia. I had lost control over my jawz and tongue. My tongue was making rhythmitic movements on its own and my jaw would open wide. I was horrified. A benadryl shot was given and then this condition subsided in about 5 minutes. So please keep benadryl tablets at home. You never know when u will need it.

Oh my, that would be horrible. My oldest son was prescribed reglan for GERD that was severe enough to later require surgery and he too had a severe side effect. He fell asleep and could not be roused for over 24 hours. I had to take him to the ER where they started fluids and just waited it out. He was only 6 months at the time and it was very touch and go. I do not like this medicine and can not imagine giving it to another baby!
