So I ran out of ink the other day and when I ran to Staples to get another ink refill, I bought Gel ink. What is your experience with Gel ink? I hear it fades faster over the years.

You still get the pens that require refills? Heck no! I get the pens that if it doesn't work, throw it away and grab another from the big package! Bad thing is....you sometimes get more duds than real working one. I guess that is how they make you buy more.

I love to write tia...mind if I shorten your name? I write a lot, so I've bought like 3 nice, comfortable pens that I keep with my journals. Don't get me wrong, I would hate to lose one of those pens, so I use the BIC pens like you describe plenty. But you're right, they either quit working half way before the ink is gone or they don't work at all.
