Are you just lazy?

Why can't people put their shopping carts in the cart corrals? I understand there might be a good reason at times to just leave it by your car. But I see people leave them a lot, and the only reason I can think of from what I have seen so far, is they are lazy. If not lazy, then ignorant because they don't understand the concept of the corral. Either way, in general it does bug me, but specifically I get angry when I come out of the store to find that some lazy dope left a cart up against my car. They likely didn't "place" it against my car, but rather it got a rolling start. Maybe I'm making a big deal out of nothing, although when it's up against my car that is disrespect and/or damage to my property, so I feel I have a right to be upset. I always return my cart, so it bugs me that so many people don't. What do you think? Jim

That is a very big pet peeve of mine when I go shopping. There could be a cart stall 5 feet away and they'll still let it sit in the middle of the parking spot. Of course, these are the same people who will drive around for an hour looking for a spot right next to the building rather than just park their car.

I have seen people leave their cart out when the stall is right next to them. I think they are just lazy. They can push it halfway down the parking lot, but can't push it a few more feet to the stall. I came out to my car last week to find not one, but three carts against my car, and not even together. Is my car invisible or something? I know they would be ticked if it was their expensive car, so why can't they have the same respect for others?

Actually, that is what prompted me to start this discussion today, at lunch today I noticed someone left a cart outside the corral against the railing of the corral. I mean that has to the pinnacle of laziness! I can't comprehend that kind of laziness. This is probably the same people that open their doors into other vehicles, because that would require muscle and effort to stop the door. Jim

I don't always return them to the corrals because I have an infant and I don't always park by one. It's hectic going anywhere with a little baby so most of the time I'm all tense and don't even think about it. I always try to lift the cart up on a curb so that they won't roll back and bang into someone's car.

I think that it's disrespectful not to take the 30 seconds to just put the carts back either. I always put my carts away, and I don't see why it's so hard for everyone else to. I think that people are just lazy now, because they know that they can get away with just leaving the carts for other people to deal with. It's not nice at all!
