There is no such thing as the 'right' religion. There's only the right religion for a particulat person. Different religions stemmed from different cultures and different interpretations of sacred texts. I believe people should believe whatever feels right to them. After all, religion only really effects the person who believes it.

You are absolutely right in saying that there is no 'right' or 'wrong' religion. Religions do stem from different cultures to fulfil the need of that culture. Religion comes first from secred text than its interpratation which gives rise to different sect of that religion and not vice versa.

I can unfortunately not agree 100%. Yes you investigate but there is only one religion and that is the one where you find peace and rest. Salvation (which is a subject on its own) is not by what we do but what was done for us. I am interested to know where I will be going one day and I found it. You have to start to ask questions as to how we got here and how was things created and if your answer is one great divine being wel you are right but not there completely yet. This will bring you to the Bible and you will soon find out that after all these years and translations it is infallible and if it is then well it must be true. Once you came to that conclusion, well then it is great to find out more,,,, it is life changing deffinately. This is my testimony and all I know that came to faith. You should try it, you have nothing to "lose" now do you?

First of all, I love to use this phrase:
"You are what you believe, I am what I believe."
So if the question is like "which religion to follow?" Then my answer is the phrase above. Nobody can force you to believe their own belief. And the term "which one is the right one" is relative, one person can have different opinion on the other. If you're a Christian, be a good Christian, if you're a Muslim, be a good Muslim, if you're an unbeliever, be a good human.
So, it's nice to know and understand about many religion, not to offense them or using it as tools to fight against them, but to have knowledge so we can respect them and each other.

none. i think religion only makes things complicated. i was borned and raised a catholic and then became a jehovah's witness in my pre-teens.i quit jw when i was seventeen and has been religionless since. i still believe in God, i strongly do, and still uphold the teachings of the bible and do the thinds i believe is right. which brings us to the subject of the bible and if it realy is the word of god that we should truly folow. muslims have their own sort of bible too, right. well in my case its just that my knowledge about god is based on the bible and tht's what i believe. others who onlt know about other forms of scriptures believe that because that's what they've been introduced to. but it all comes down to one point--we believe in a god, a supreme being who created us and is constantly watching over us. whatever it is that we do to please our gof--either atten sunday mass or burn incense, it all comes down to the same thing. so whatever the differences in religions are, they're still basically the same.

Of course, Islam, THE CORE OF ISLAM
Among the blessings and favors that God has bestowed upon humanity is that He endowed them with an innate ability to recognize and acknowledge His existence. He placed this awareness deep in their hearts as a natural disposition that has not changed since human beings were first created. Furthermore, He reinforced this natural disposition with the signs that he placed in Creation that testify to His existence. However, since it is not possible for human beings to have a detailed knowledge of God except through revelation from Himself, God sent His Messengers to teach the people about their Creator Who they must worship. These Messengers also brought with them the details of how to worship God, because such details cannot be known except by way of revelation. These two fundamentals were the most important things that the Messengers of all the divine revelations brought with them from God. On this basis, all the divine revelations have had the same lofty objectives, which are:1. To affirm the Oneness of God - the praised and glorified Creator – in His essence and His attributes.
2. To affirm that God alone should be worshipped and that no other being should be worshipped along with Him or instead of Him.
3. To safeguard human welfare and oppose corruption and evil. Thus, everything that safeguards faith, life, reason, wealth and lineage are part of this human welfare that religion protects. On the other hand, anything that endangers these five universal needs is a form of corruption that religion opposes and prohibits.
4. To invite the people to the highest level of virtue, moral values, and noble customs.
The ultimate goal of every Divine Message has always been the same: to guide the people to God, to make them aware of Him, and to have them worship Him alone. Each Divine Message came to strengthen this meaning, and the following words were repeated on the tongues of all the Messengers: “Worship God, you have no god other than Him.” This message was conveyed to humanity by prophets and messengers which God sent to every nation. All of these messengers came with this same message, the message of Islam.
All the Divine Messages came to bring the life of the people into willing submission to God. For this reason, they all share the name of “Islam”, or “submission” derived from the word “Salam”, or “peace”, in Arabic. Islam, in this sense, was the religion of all the prophets, but why does one see different variations of the religion of God if they all emanated from the same source? The answer is twofold.
The first reason is that as a result of the passage of time, and due to the fact that previous religions were not under the Divine protection of God, they underwent much change and variation. As a result, we see that the fundamental truths which were brought by all messengers now differ from one religion to another, the most apparent being the strict tenet of the belief and worship of God and God alone.
The second reason for this variation is that God, in His infinite Wisdom and eternal Will, decreed that all the divine missions prior to the final message of Islam brought by Muhammad, may God praise him, be limited to a specific time frame. As a result, their laws and methodologies dealt with the specific conditions of the people whom they had been sent to address.
Humanity has passed through numerous periods of guidance, misguidance, integrity, and deviation, from the most primitive age to the heights of civilization. Divine guidance accompanied humanity through all of this, always providing the appropriate solutions and remedies.
This was the essence of the disparity that existed between the different religions. This disagreement never went beyond the particulars of the Divine Law. Each manifestation of the Law addressed the particular problems of the people it was meant for. However, the areas of agreement were significant and many, such as fundamentals of faith; the basic principles and objectives of the Divine Law, such as protecting faith, life, reason, wealth, and lineage and establishing justice in the land; and certain fundamental prohibitions, some of the most important of these being idolatry, fornication, murder, theft, and giving false witness. Moreover, they also agreed upon moral virtues like honesty, justice, charity, kindness, chastity, righteousness, and mercy. These principles as well as others are permanent and lasting; they are the essence of all the Divine Messages and bind them all together. So, finally, my dear friend, I WANT TO ASK YOU IF YOU HAVE ANY EXACT REASONS NOT TO FOLLOW THE TRUE RELIGION ( ISLAM )?????????????????

every religion claims that they are the right religion, but what can i tell you is religion cannot bring you nowhere. what is important is you know Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. Religion cannot save you from Hell, it is your relationship to the Saviour that can save you from hell.

it depends on how you follow or how you believe in your own religion. bec. group or race with no gods are people who dont fear anything which lots and lots of people really dont like. But if you want to choose then... go take a seminar of every religion then choose on which 1 really enlighten you.

Yes a good idea but dont think seminar will be enough. You will have to study very deeply about different religions. There are lots of false propagandas about different religions so its not very easy to find the truth but if you try it out with your soul you will find it

I think you have to test the foundations of any religion to find the truth about it. You might want to ask things like who started it, what kind of person were they, what claims did they make and did those claims come to fruition, do the beliefs and teachings coincide with reality (seems basic but there are some really crazy things out there - ie Heaven's Gate). History has proven that people of any religion can give that religion a bad name so I wouldn't necessarily judge a religion based on the actions of its followers. Also take into consideration how the religion claims the world came to be, how it works and where it is going to end up - does it coincide with the laws of nature, would it hold up under scientific scrutiny?
Just a few things to think about. Hope it helps and you find what you're looking for.

In my own personal opinion, there's no "one true religion". Perhaps they all have their own truths. Who really knows? I think you've just gotta find the right one for you. If it's some form of Christianity, Hinduism, Wiccan, no religion, whatever. For me, it's none. I'm just not a religious person, but others are and that's ok. You've just gotta get out there and do research and find the one for you.

Yes, there are many religions in the world. It goes to show that human have different opinions and believes. However, if you look at all religion at it's core, they all preacehs the same thing - do good deeds and do no evil deeds. We, human, just like to look and interprete it differently.
Just like baking a cake, the core idea is to make the cake delicious, right? Different people would make it differently, but at the end, they all get a delicious cake, tho those cakes might taste slightly or vastly different. I hope you get where I am going here, ya?..

If all will focus on one types of work, there will not be many religion.
Religion is based on types of work you do on your daily life, in each and every moment.
Religion is not what you preach in forum or write in books, in any one moment of your life.
You practice what you preach and write is your religion.you
"When you work, you can not speak or write"
Thanks

I follow my own. I was baptised as baptist, however, After something that happened to me at 9 there. I don't think there is a RIGHT religion. I think that if you follow the goodness in your heart, it will come to you.
I don't think there's a specific religion that will get you into heaven. I believe that's entirely up to you and how you live your life.
