Wow you have never been! What part of Florida are you in? Is it far away from you? I have been there many times and love it. Every time I go there I find something new and interesting. Yes, Disney can be very expensive, but yet again that does depend on you. The tickets are pricey and so is the food, plus the temptation for shopping in the theme parks. If you plan on going, do some research. Figure out what you want to do there ie theme parks, shows, character dinners, etc. and have a plan. Look into the ticket packages and see how they fit into your plans. If you are going to stay in the area, try staying outside Disney Resorts to save money. Look into renting a house for your stay. Look around, you can find 3 bed homes to rent for a little over $100 a night with taxes.

Actually... you can stay at the All Star Resorts for as low as $52 a night if you want to stay on Disney property. My advice to you is to stay at Quality Inn or LAQuinta... for a little more you can have a whole suite with a refrigerator and everything. I recommend the one next to Old Town in Kissimmee... then you can walk to Old Town at night.

I go there a few times each year-by plane. I now have an annual pass which is good for a year. They offer a lot of Florida resident discounts too if you live in state. It is the best place on earth-in my opinion, and it can be expensive, but there are many specials to use if you do some planning

We've not been but I'd say we'll go within the next three years.
We have a friend who lives close to there and we'll probably make a great trip of it when we do go. I just want to save up money to take the family (of six)without dipping into our savings or using Credit Cards for it!

OMG my father took me when I was 16(31 now) and I totallt had a blast. We went to Epcot and I bought earrings from China, a shirt from Morroco, we had lunch in France, went on a boat ride in Germany. We went to Discovery Island and saw a real live Flamingo and aligators it was so awesom. We also went to this really fancy restaurant called the Brown Derby, I got my picture taken with the piano player. I also had my picture taken with Pluto, Chip and Dale, and Goofy.
In my opnion you have to go. Now there are so many new attractions to see. I want to go back again when finances are better and will allow us to take all 4 kids with us.

I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. So I have been to Disney a few times.
Yes, it is expensive!!! A bottle of water will cost you $4! Eating there costs as much as a 5 star restaurant! The lines are too long. One could fall asleep standing up waiting in line. Soveniors are the price of fine China. No, I would not go again. I would much rather take my kids to 6 Flags or Universal. They are more entertaining to me.

Wow, I had no idea it would cost soooo much! You think, if maybe I went on the off season, the lines wouldn't be so bad or is it that way all year? I've been to 6Flags over Georgia. Is it about the same between the two parks?

I went there when I was 5 years old, and I LOVED IT, and cant wait to go back and take my kids....definately an experience you should enjoy since you are in Florida. I loved spacemountain, Epcott center, and the under water sub, 20,000 leauges under the sea, which i dont think is there anymore, the tea cups are a vivid memory too. DEFINATELY GO...YOU WONT REGRET IT NOT MATTER WHAT YOUR AGE....!

Yes, it is awesome and yes it is expensive but it is definitely worth the visit. I would suggest going when the park isn't as crowded.
