Keeping the cake moist

I always decorate cakes but i dont know how to keep the cake moist. I love the taste of moist cakes. Do you have any suggestions?

YOu can add a little oil maybe 1/4 c. also a pudding mix adds moisture to cake. YOu should always bake it less time than it calls for, same with cookies that makes them moist. I have also noticed if you need if for a later date, freezing a cake keeps it very moist too.
