            Started a step class today at the health club, it kick my bit. Any advice on how to keep my energy level up after I work out?

                    Hard to say without knowing all the particulars of your lifestyle, but a lot of people today don' tget enough sleep. If I don't sleep enough and have a long work day or  go for a workout, it's like all the energy drains out of me. 
Besides sleep, make sure you're eating right--lean protein, not too much fat, fruits and vegetables, etc. If you're not eating right you won't have the 'fuel' you need to exercise and recover.
