What was your favorite episode in Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

I couldn't possibly pick just one. That would be like asking a parent to pick their favourite child, except I had no part in making the show, so it's not really the same thing. I thought Hush was brilliant, but there were so many strokes of genius during the seven seasons of that show. I hope they'll eventually get around to making a movie.

I agree with you. Hush was an incredible episode and it has to be my all time favourite Buffy episode. Followed closely by Once More With Feeling. They both make me laugh so much when I watch them now. Also up there is the episode where Buffy has to kill Angel. I'm not sure what it's called, but it is incredibly well done.

That one was great! But then I think they all were.I'm hoping for the boxed set for Christmas so I can watch anytime I want to.I think FX still shows it here,but it's really early in the morning.Glad to see I'm not alone in being a fan.My hubby just don't get it.

I love Hush. That was a fantastic episode. It actually took awards which I thought it deserved. My favorite episode though is Once More with Feeling. When I saw the commercials for it I didn't think it would be that good. Due to time I had to tape it and I wished I'd done it on a better tape. After watching it I loved it and we watched it repeatedly but since the tape was poor it was dying quickly. My sister got me the CD for Christmas which helped prolong the tape. A friend of mine made me a copy of the episode so I can watch it without problems now.

My favourite episode I think would be Tabula Rasa. I love the alter ego's they pick up especially Spike, hehe Randy Giles

Mine was also Hush. and my 2nd would be Go Fish, with Wentworh Miller.

one of my favorites was when they all got hexed halloween costumes and became the personality of their costumes...it was so funny watching Buffy being the quaint, sissy girl and scared of everything!...lol

Oh wow I dont think I can pick one favourite really....I liked a lot of them..one of my least favs though is the one (dont know the ep. name) where they sing the entire show...that drove me NUTS....

I love Hush as well, a brilliantly executed and very original. I still prefer 'Once more with feeling', I love the way the songs expressed the individual characters beautifully. It was definitely one of those episodes you have to have watched a lot of Buffy to fully appreciate.

I have to agree! When I saw the title of this thread that was the first episode that popped into my mind. Thankfully you mentioned the title or I would have had to have said "The one where no one talked" and that would have sounded plain silly LOL. I also like the one with the Buffy Bot and the one where Buffy's mom got mixed up with the guy that turned out to be a robot (played by John Ritter). No, I don't have a thing for robots LOL. Awesome post!

My favorite overall episode was 'Help'; I thought that it was just so sad and sweet. Part Two of 'The Gift' is a REALLY close second. The last few minutes of it are my all-time favorite Buffy scenes.

Gosh, it's really hard to pick a single episode that is my absolute fave. But I would have to say that "Faith, Hope and Trick" is my favorite since it introduces my favorite character - Faith! I also like "Hush" a lot, primarily because the acting abilities of the cast were really displayed and brought out in this show. It's amazing how much we rely on sound and when it's gone its affect is heavily felt. The actors all did a stellar job in this one. Not to mention the plot of it was just thrilling as well. "The Pack" is another all time fave of mine as well. I loved seeing Xander as a bad guy and the leader of his own "gang" as well. Not to mention the concept behind the story was intriguing as well. Xander the coyote posessed bo XD I loved it. "This Year's Girl/Who Are You" are definately up there on the faves list. Faith awakes from her coma and goes after Buffy and with the aide of Mayor Wilkinson's last gift to her she switches bodies with Buffy. Come on, who wouldn't love these two episodes!

I found Hush an amazing episode! Although there was barely any speech, it was a great episode. it was funny AND had its scary moments! However it is not my favorite episode. My faovrite episode has got to be Once More With Feeling. It is funny - and VERY entertaining. The music is so much fun to listen to and the episode is really fun to watch. I loved the episode form the first time i watched it.

I loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer! And a lot of the episodes where really interesting! But like you, by far I would have to choose Hush! Then, I really like Once More with Feeling. And, I really like the Evil Willow one!!!!

My favourite episode is surely "Once more with feeling"! I was so shocked at first hearing them singing, but then I thought it was such a great idea. The songs are all beautiful, especially "Under your spell" and "Standing". *_* And being a great Spike x Buffy fan I really loved the last scene...XP

I like the episode where Giles & Buffys mum regress to teen mentality. Giles really isn't a very good rebel! I know I'm going to offend a lot of the ladies out there, but all the best episodes were after they ditched the chaff into the spin off, Angel, and focussed on the decent characters - like Spike. I know Mr Boreanaz fans out there are going to lynch me for that sacrilege, but I felt it needed saying.

It is impossible to pick one favorite. However, here are a few of my faves: Surprise-Innocence What's my line pt 1 and 2 Graduation Day part 1 and 2 Angel*** HUSH was an amazing episode. The Body didn't like seasons 6 and 7 as much as the first 5 but still good, and still watched them all

Wow..I don't remember which title goes with which episode in most cases, but I did like Hush, Once More With Feeling, the one where Anya went to the Halloween party dressed like a bunny, cuz it was scary to her, the one that Spike had a shotgun headed to Buffy's and ended up comforting her on the porch steps, the episode where Willow got evil after Tara was killed, and pretty much any scene with Spike in it cause I loved his humor and sarcasm!

What a hard question! I think I might have to go with "Once more with Feeling" the musical episode. The music was just so catchy, and the whole episode is clever and really well written. I listen to the soundtrack very often and end up singing the songs all week.
